Stationed at Ramstein? Take Out a Personal Military Loan and Vacation in England

We often send our active duty personnel into places that aren’t fit for their families, which of course means that they are forced to leave them behind in the States. There are however, several places where our troops are restorations that CAN accommodate spouses and children. Usually, these areas are in Europe and Asia.

When stationed overseas with the family, there is still the obligation that you as a parent must fulfill. You must still raise an American, with all the cultural bells and whistles that go along with it. One of the mainstays of growing up an American is the family vacation. Even when you’re in a foreign culture, you can still provide great American-style experiences for the kids.

A personal military loan can help with this. If you don’t want to spend too much of your savings while you’re out of the country (since of course you just want to let it sit in the bank back home collecting interest… right?), you can take out a personal military loan to cover the cost of a nice family trip. These loans are made specifically for the military – all active duty personnel are qualified to apply for them regardless of rank, pay-grade, or credit history. There is no interest for the first 90 days, and the interest is kept at a low rate when it does kick in. You can get approved online instantly, and the money arrives to you quickly. This way, you can get going to your destination.

Map of the British Isles

For example, if you’re stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, there are several countries with sharing strong military alliances with the United States that all make great travel destinations. Take our old friends in the United Kingdom, for instance. Now, if you’re going to include Ireland in your stop, you might want to leave the kids at home. Either that or take a baby sitter with you. Otherwise, England, Scotland, and Wales all have tremendous history, stylish western accommodations, and reasonably friendly attitude towards Americans.

Some great attractions in the UK are as follows:

  • Big Ben – Look kids! Big Ben!
  • Buckingham Palace – The headquarters and part-time residence of the Royal Family
  • Westminster Abbey – The location of Poet’s Corner
  • Loch Ness – Home of some truly great pubs… and a sea monster.
  • The Blarney Stone – Nuff said.
  • Stonehenge – England’s version of the Great Pyramids
  • Liverpool – Birthplace of the Beatles
  • The Globe Theatre – Shakespeare’s showcase.
